I am so excited to report that it finally hit 80 this week.  To many that might seem warm, but for those in the Washington DC region, this chilly and rainy spring needs to end.  Now.

With Memorial Day right around the corner, we deserve some warmer (and not as windy weather).  How else can we go outside for our annual barbeque weekend?  I can’t imagine having a Memorial Day picnic in sweaters and winter hats (although, maybe if you live in New England, this isn’t too far off!).

If your weather is cooperating, the next thing to get you ready for grilling outside are these free printable patriotic water bottle labels.  Inspired by our flag’s stars and stripes, each label includes red and white stripes and a star with a fun patriotic saying.  The sayings are Liberty Rocks, Firecracker Time, America, Stars and Stripes and Freedom Rings.  Each set of free printable patriotic water bottle labels includes the five different sayings giving you lots of options to make your water bottles rock!

To make your own set of water bottle labels, I recommend printing out on Water Proof Vinyl Laser Printer Labels and cutting them out individually.  Then, unpeel the backing from each label and stick onto a standard sized water bottle.  You can also fit them around mini sized water bottle labels.  By making your water bottle labels waterproof, you can place them in a cooler or ice bucket to keep them cool for the barbeque.  For more tips on crafting your own water bottle labels, check out our water bottle label tutorial.

These patriotic water bottle labels are perfect for your Memorial Day and Fourth of July celebrations.  To be honest, I like to celebrate in the red, white and blue any time in late May to July, so they would work for most of our occasions.   I also like to use them to dress up our water bottles for a summer picnic or even at the Fourth of July parade in town.  They’re a great reminder about how important our Independence Day is!
