Easter is just around the corner and we are putting the finishing touches on our Easter preparations. The decorations are up, crafting is under way (we made these tissue paper Easter eggs this week – but we sponged gold paint on top instead of glitter) and I even made our first batch of bunny bait – which is already gone. I’ve also finally decided how to dye the Easter eggs this year. Thanks to Pinterest for giving me more egg dying ideas than I could possibly accomplish in ten Easters.
The one thing that I have forgotten in Easters past, though, is getting a little something for the kids’ teachers. The spring break chaos sets in and I always forget to pick up a special treat to thank them for all of their hard work. So, this Easter I created Free Printable Teacher Easter Tags to attach to our teacher goodies.
I like the idea of recognizing these important people throughout the year (not just during teacher appreciation week) and the kids love delivering little surprises to them every now and then. When I taught, I used to have a student who brought me homemade empanadas about once a month. I wasn’t so sure at first, but the minute I tried one I was hooked. The parent would drop them off hot during the afternoon pick-up. I really think she had just taken them out of the oven and let them cool on her way over to pick-up. Believe me, I really looked forward to the days when this afternoon snack arrived.
For our teachers this year, I kept it simple and picked up my favorite springtime chocolate truffles. I added some Easter shred and jellybeans. I packaged everything in a 7″ x 9″ clear cello bag and tied with matching twine. Instead of hole punching the Easter teacher tag, I attached it with a mini clothespin to give a more rustic look.
To make your tags, download your free printable teacher Easter tags. I think the little bunny ears are so cute! Print on medium to heavy white cardstock and cut out. Add your child’s name (or have them write it themselves) to the back of the tag. Attach the tag to the package by tying it on or clipping on using a mini clothespin.
You can also use your Free Printable Teacher Easter Tags to attach to a pot of flowers, craft your child made (mine want to also give their teachers a tissue paper egg they made), bag of bunny bait or other Easter treat. To be honest, it is never about what you give, but that you took the time to remember.
I created three different colored tags for you to enjoy. This way you can mix and match them with your Easter gifting.
