Hi everyone! Welcome to Katarina’s Paperie – a little online boutique filled with whimsical paper goods just for kids. Named after my darling little girl, Katarina, our shop carries a range of paper delights for our littlest customers to enjoy. From beautiful invitations and custom party décor to delightful stationery and printable kids craft kits, you’ll find an assortment of products made for one reason alone – to create happy childhoods.
We are a girl meets boy kind of story. Except in our version, it’s a girl meets adorable new baby daughter. When my life changed that August day, I realized that I had somebody very special to create memories for. Unfortunately I found that my options for making those memories were limited to big box store products or the few designs that our local paper shop carried. I wanted more options and customization. So, I started spending naptimes and other quiet moments of day creating paper goods geared towards the most important little people in my life. After talking to many parents about the struggles to find special paper goods for their kids, I decided to take our initial library of designs and establish a shop geared towards little ones.
So in the summer of 2012, my new little boutique, Katarina’s Paperie, opened. Having always been a designer at heart, I finally was able to bring my creations to life through paper. Using my background as a second grade teacher, I am able to mix together my love of paper crafting, designing and celebrating to create beautiful things for kids to enjoy. It’s so much fun to make products that make childhoods extra special.
My inspiration is found daily from my two delightful children – Little Bug and Baby M – as well as the joys of the world around us. Our studio is tucked away in Alexandria, Virginia about ten minutes from the Nation’s Capitol. We love the energy of the city and the chance to experience amazing culture, food and people. But, most importantly, I love spending time with my family and celebrating with them.
Thanks so much for checking out our little boutique. I’m so happy you’re here and hope you enjoy your visit.
